In this article, you will find some useful tips on how to maintain a work/life balance.
Most of us are working from home due to Covid-19 and it is becoming more difficult to keep a healthy work-life balance because of that.
- Prioritize your health. Always put your health in the first place and then your work. If you feel anxious or stressed, schedule few sessions with a therapist. It will help you improve your mental health. Also, try to do some yoga and meditation to relax. Prioritizing your health first will make you a better employee. If you feel overwhelmed, take a day off to refresh your mind.

- Make time for yourself. Your job shouldn’t be your entire time. Try new hobbies, meet with your friends and family or just rest at home. It is very important to have a balance between work and life because we are less productive when we are tired. Karen Salmansohn said, “Sometimes sitting and doing nothing is the best something you can do”.

- Establish limits. It is important to set boundaries to avoid burnout at work. After work, try to switch your mind to something else. It will be a good idea to make your personal phone number separate from your work phone number. If you don’t put limits, you will realize that you don’t have privacy at all. Advise your team members about your boundaries, it will help you make sure that they respect your limits.
- Create a schedule. It will help you be more organized at work because you will distinguish what is urgent to finish and what is less important. In addition, time management skills will help you accomplish bigger results in a shorter period of time.

- Don’t hesitate to ask for help. If you feel overwhelmed with tasks, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes, we work on something for hours, but simply asking your colleague to help can solve the problem. There is no shame in asking for help if you don’t know something.
- Make sure you take a lunch break. To be more productive at work, don’t forget to take a lunchtime. Even if the day is very busy, take a break.
